Veronika Kinski was the first supermodel. She was born in 1936 in Berlin, Germany and started her modeling career at the age of 16. She is considered to be one of the first supermodels and is often credited with helping to change the way models are viewed. Kinski is also known for her role in the 1978 film The Last Tango in Paris.

After graduating from high school, she moved to Paris to pursue a modeling career. She quickly became a popular model, appearing in campaigns for brands such as Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. In 1988, she was name the face of French fashion house Balenciaga. Kinski’s stunn appearance and fashion sense earn her a reputation as one of the world’s top models. She retire from modeling in 1998 after appearing in campaigns for Calvin Klein and Lagerfeld. Kinski has since worke as a fashion commentator and made appearances on television shows such as Project Runway and Top Model. She is also the author of the book Veronika: My Life As A Supermodel.

Veronika Kinski and Leonardo DiCaprio have a very close relationship. The two have been seen together on multiple occasions, and have been photographed publicly affectionately holding hands and kissing. In an interview with GQ in 2015, Veronika discussed her relationship with Leo and how it started.

“We met in 2000 on the set of ‘The Beach.’ We were both 19 years old. A few weeks later, we were on a private plane together, heading to Paris for the premiere of ‘The Beach.’ I had no idea who he was. He was just this beautiful young man with such an aura.”

Kinski went on to say that she quickly learn that DiCaprio was “a gentleman.” They continue to see each other frequently over the next few years, until they both took their first major acting roles: Leonardo in ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’ and Veronika in ‘The Piano.’ The two eventually split up around 2003 or 2004, but continue to stay in touch.
